I picked up Marion Mountain’s The Zen Environment,  she talked about the practice of acceptance of what’s in front of you.  This world around us is so vast, and most of time, there’s little or nothing we can do to change what is presented to us.
Reading Tara Brock this morning. Radical Acceptance, ‘Inviting Mara to tea: the practice of sending yes.’

When we offer to ourselves the same quality of unconditional friendliness that we would offer to a friend, we stop denying our suffering. As we figuratively sit beside ourselves and inquire, listen and name our experience, we see Mara clearly and open our heart and tenderness to the suffering before us.

Blanche Hartman used to go around saying “Just this.”
